Ranbir Kapoor takes Bollywood scene by storm
Born September 28, 1982, the Indian actor Ranbir Kapoor has certainly made his way into the Bollywood scene. Being a member of a showbiz family who has thrived in show business, Ranbir Kapoor may have gone through many hardships, trying to live up to his family name. His 2007 acting debut in the film Saawariya, where he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut continued with his excellent acting in the movie Wake Up Sid in 2009. His acclaimed performance has paved the way for a series of projects; from a commercially successful romantic comedy and a drama entitled Raajneeti, where he collectively had his biggest hit to date. Hey – I do understand Paris Hilton is a celebrity and all and her money and fame makes her a target – but what really gets my goat is when so called “experts” on tv shows start slinging the “she doesn’t deserve” the fame or success and hits that cliche “she’s famous for nothing” or Paris Hilton’s fame is only from being rich.
I do hate to defend her – but she may not be the best actress around – but go check her filmography – she’s been in lots of movies (ok – so they’re bad ones but hey – they are movies!).
And she has bee on numerous tv shows – many of them her own. How can you deny she is a working actress when she has so many film and tv credits to her name. (read more…)
Kate Hudson Leads People’s 100 Most Beautiful People
Kate Hudson dethrones Drew Barrymore on People.com 100 Most Beautiful People list. She will appear in the cover of People and also with a story on how she came to be on the top of the list. The issue of the 100 Most Beautiful People at People will come out on Friday May 2, 2008.
People Senio Editor Galina Espinoza says Hudson “just embodies such an incredible natural beauty that is in vogue right now. We’ve gotten so accustomed to celebrities getting breast implants and nose jobs, and she will talk about being flat-chested and having a little bit of an offbeat look.”
