Zac Hanson And Wife Has A Boy
Youngest brother from the band Hanson welcomes his first baby last May 27. Zac Hanson and his model wife Kate Tucker welcomed a son, John Ira Shepherd Hanson, on Tuesday in Tulsa, the musician tells PEOPLE exclusively.
The baby boy, who will go by the name Shepherd, weighed in at 8 lbs, 4 oz. “I am so overjoyed,” said the proud father and he said, “There is not an audience or concert that could ever stand up to the feeling of meeting your baby for the first time.”
The couple had been engaged from January 2005 and been married after fifteen months on June 3 2006 at the Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
Award Winning Director Sydney Pollack Died Of Cancer
Sydney Pollack was an eclectic award winning director of Hollywood movies, who made films that were usually extremely successful at the box office; his 1985 production Out of Africa, based on the life of Isak Dinesen, was named best film in the annual Oscars and earned him a personal award as best director.
He was diagnosed with cancer about nine months ago and died yesterday afternoon at his home in Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, said his publicist, Leslee Dart. He was 73. He was with his family when his time came.
Unusual as to many other top directors of his era, Pollack was also a film and television actor himself, and he used this unique position to forge a relationship with Hollywood’s elite stars and create some of the most successful films of the 1970s and ’80s.

Steven Curtis Chapman’s Daughter Died From A Vehicle Accident
May 21st, 2008 at 5pm on the afternoon (Wednesday), Maria Sue Chapman, 5 years old and the youngest daughter to Steven and Mary Beth Chapman was struck in the driveway of the Chapman home in Franklin, TN. Maria was rushed to Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital in Nashville, transported by LifeFlight, but died of her injuries there. Maria is one of the close knit family’s six children and one of their three adopted daughters.
Approximately five years ago, Chapman and his wife MaryBeth created The Shaohannah’s Hope Ministry after bringing their first adopted daughter, Shaohannah, home from China. The ministry’s goal is to help families reduce the financial barrier of adoption, and has provided grants to over 1700 families wishing to adopt orphans from around the world.
DeGeneres-de Rossi Wedding Plans
Ellen DeGeneres and long time partner Portia de Rossi had plans for a wedding. This decision was announced by Ellen on her talk show when the California Supreme Court made a ruling in favor of gay marriages.
In an opinion that analysts say could have nationwide implications, the seven-member panel voted 4-3 in favour of plaintiffs who argued that restricting marriage to men and women was discriminatory.
“Limiting the designation of marriage to a union ‘between a man and a woman’ is unconstitutional and must be stricken from the statute,” California Chief Justice Ron George said.
DeGeneres was taping the episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday, the day the state’s high court struck down California laws against gay marriage, and it was to air Friday, a person close to the production said.

Rumors had been true, Scarlett Johansson,23, and Ryan Reynolds, 31, are absolutely engaged. Her rep has confirmed the story to People. She actually showed her engagement ring yesterday at the Costume Institute Gala in NYC. The couple have been dating for a little over a year but knowing that they are engaged is still a surprise. Reynolds had been engaged with Alanis Morissette from 2004-2007 but they decided to break up the engagement before any plans for a wedding.
According to Scarlett Johansson’s rep, “They’re both thrilled.” Best wishes for the couple and we hope that this will lead to another huge wedding ceremonies in Hollywood.

A third sequel of the upcoming Batman movie was release today. The Dark Knight is the last full role movie that actor Heath Ledger was involve with. He plays the Joker here. Also rumor of another Batman sequel has been bubbling over due to the appearance of Harvey Dent (played by Aaron Eckhart) in the Dark Knight. Harvey Dent will become Batman’s protagonist (if ever a sequel will follow), as Two Face. This movie will surely become another hit in the box office not only because its a Batman movie but also because of Heath Ledger’s contribution and unparalleled portrayal. It will become a bitter sweet farewell for the young budding actor who have died due to accidental overdose.
